Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Microdosed botulinum toxin calibrated to soften dynamic lines while preserving natural movement and facial expression.

Consultation

A 45-minute private consultation precedes every booking. We assess suitability, map the face, and agree a written plan before any treatment is confirmed.

Downtime

Most clients return to normal activity the same day. Any localised swelling or redness typically settles within 24–72 hours.

Aftercare

A review is offered at the clinically appropriate interval for each protocol, with photographs taken under standardised lighting to document progress.

Common Questions

What clients typically ask.

Answers below are summaries of widely accepted clinical practice. Your specific plan is always confirmed in consultation.

What product is used?

The studio uses licensed botulinum toxin type A products regulated in the UK as prescription-only medicines (POMs). These include brands such as Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA), Azzalon (abobotulinumtoxinA), and Bocouture (incobotulinumtoxinA). The specific brand is chosen per indication and discussed at consultation.

How does it work?

Botulinum toxin temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, reducing contraction of the targeted muscle. With reduced contraction, the overlying dynamic lines, frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet, soften. Static lines present at rest typically respond less and may require additional modalities.

When will I see results and how long do they last?

Onset is typically 3 to 5 days, with full effect at 14 days. Duration is usually 3 to 4 months for most clients, although factors such as dose, metabolism, muscle size, and physical activity all influence longevity.

What are the risks?

Common, short-lived effects include pinpoint bruising, mild headache, and heaviness for a few days. Less common risks include temporary asymmetry or eyelid ptosis (droop), which is almost always self-limiting and resolves as the effect wears off. Serious systemic reactions are rare when treatment is delivered by qualified medical professionals.

Who cannot have it?

Botulinum toxin is contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding, in neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, in active infection at the injection site, and in clients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
