Skin Tightening with BTL Exilis

Radiofrequency and ultrasound delivered through BTL Exilis to tighten lax skin, redefine the jawline, and restore lower-face contour.

Consultation

A 45-minute private consultation precedes every booking. We assess suitability, map the face, and agree a written plan before any treatment is confirmed.

Downtime

Most clients return to normal activity the same day. Any localised swelling or redness typically settles within 24–72 hours.

Aftercare

A review is offered at the clinically appropriate interval for each protocol, with photographs taken under standardised lighting to document progress.

Common Questions

What clients typically ask.

Answers below are summaries of widely accepted clinical practice. Your specific plan is always confirmed in consultation.

How does BTL Exilis work?

Exilis Ultra combines monopolar radiofrequency (RF) with ultrasound energy, delivering controlled heating to the deeper dermis and subcutaneous layers. The thermal stimulus triggers collagen contraction and, over the following weeks to months, new collagen and elastin synthesis, the biological basis of non-surgical tightening.

Is it FDA-cleared?

Yes. BTL Exilis platforms hold FDA clearance in the United States and are CE-marked in the UK and EU for non-invasive skin tightening and circumferential reduction. Clearance covers facial and body applications.

What does it feel like?

Most clients describe a warm, deep-tissue sensation as the device passes over the skin. The handpiece maintains the target temperature via real-time feedback, so the warmth should feel comfortable and steady rather than hot. No anaesthetic is required.

How many sessions are needed and when will I see results?

A typical course is 4 to 6 sessions spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart. Some tightening can be felt immediately, but the dominant result, from new collagen formation, becomes visible at 8 to 12 weeks and continues to develop for up to 6 months.

Who should avoid it?

Exilis is not suitable during pregnancy, over active implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers, or over metal implants in the treatment zone. Active skin infection, uncontrolled autoimmune disease, and recent isotretinoin use are further relative contraindications assessed at consultation.
